Seriously though . . this is a politics, and is as hard to handle in its own way as all the other kinds. I wouldn’t lightly take on a project commitment that requires a major fork in a FLOSS repo. But if duty calls . . ? This is where being an anthropologist comes into its own. “I’m from Mars - Tell me, what is it you folks do around here?”
