I have been having this persistent problem with the audio filter setting where the sound cuts out after the initial syllable.
So if I said, “Hello, how are you?” The first part of hello is audible, but the rest of the utterance is not.
After troubleshooting the issue today, I identified the problem to be the audio filter setting because the problem went away when we turned it off. Unfortunately, because my student wasn’t using headphones, I could hear my own voice.
Is it possible at all to adjust the sensitivity of the audio filter? It’s possible for me to ask my students to speak louder, but it would be better if I had finer control of this feature so that I had more options.
