We can of course agree on changing our default settings. The changes we made for the Cities for Change instance could be of course applied to our own BBB servers. We could bring it up for voting (maybe a different poll for each change?) and then apply any changes that have been agreed to.
I think we should be rather conservative with changing default settings, e.g. requiring a minimum of votes and a qualified majority (2/3?) before we change default behavior. We should also consider any votes against a change as having special weight if the change breaks an existing workflow for existing users.
