Me and Nick have found a reasonable route towards a new ca.meet.coop deployment that makes sense to us.
It seems ColloCall are happy to support Big Blue Button a remote server. We have been in touch with Komubit (who hosted the hardware for the old ca.meet.coop server) and they can offer us new hardware at a similar price to before.
Me and Nick could setup a new server in Canada with Komubit. ColloCall deploy and maintain BBB on it. Autonomic or Web Architects can maintain the OS upgrades.
Does that sound like a good idea for medium to long term?

Yes!!! I’ve received a request no later than last week about an alternative to Jitsi for a meeting of 30 peop. This could help a lot - also if the front end and BBB are available in French (and other languages).

@otisyves https://de.meet.coop/ is available right now. The performance should still be decent for folks further away from Germany.
Great point about the translation. I think BBB is translated already: Localization | BigBlueButton
Their page gives a 404 though: https://www.transifex.com/bigbluebutton/
Did you try logging in to https://de.meet.coop/ and visiting the Profile page: ColloCall
French is supported!
Yes, indeed, everything is fine (in French!) on Collocall. But I was refering to the meet.coop website (and general info). That’s another story. For now looking forward using the ca.meet.coop instance soon!
I had posted a UI query here. Now reposted to Feedback on the new de.meet.coop server - #7 by wouter Thanks @kawaiipunk for redirecting.
